After (number) years of experience as an industrial pattern maker and later a journeyman carpenter, Charles Matus III founded C. Matus Co. The company was originally founded as a general contracting business specializing in high-end home expansions preserving the continuity of the existing home.

Due to the increased demand for custom millwork, to match our broad customer base, we expanded to our new facility and updated the necessary equipment needed to design and manufacture our own in-house millwork. Our focus shifted direction from general contracting to custom cabinetry/millwork while still maintaining a carpentry, renovation, and installation service.

During our expansion we diversified yet into another facet of woodworking to include accent furnishings and unique gifts in our “Country Store” which now is the epicenter of C. Matus Co.
